DRX 255C on display at MGOC HQ Swavesey

DRX 255C was owned and campaigned by the late Barry Sidery-Smith and was in his ownership since the early 1970s. This historic car was the official Abingdon works entry for Le Mans in 1965 driven by Paddy Hopkirk and Andrew Hedges where they finished 11th overall and second in class. Barry’s family and friends have planned a fitting tribute to Barry by securing an entry in the 2018 Le Mans Classic over the weekend of the 7th & 8th July.  Barry was a most enthusiastic supporter of the MGOC and we are delighted to be involved helping to prepare the car for its return to Le Mans and are privileged have this famous car on display in the showroom at the Club HQ. We are planning a special BBQ event at Le Mans for all MG Owners’ Club attendees. The drivers, support crew and the DRX 255C will be the centre of attraction. More details will be announced in due course. Click Here www.mgownersclub.co.uk/travel-club-le-mans-classic for information about the MGOC Travel Club trip to Le Mans Classic
